BISMiS-Goodfellow Prize

The BISMiS-Goodfellow Prize is established in honour of Professor Michael Goodfellow, a founding member of the Bergey’s International Society for Microbial Systematics (BISMiS) and a distinguished figure in prokaryotic systematics. His research not only advanced our understanding of microbial diversity but also inspired generations of scientists dedicated to exploring the microbial world.

BISMiS Nomination for Other Awards

IUMS Global

As an international society, BISMiS periodically receives requests from other organizations and scientific societies to nominate eligible members for various awards announced throughout the year. As a BISMiS member, you may be eligible to seek nomination from BISMiS for these awards.

In cases where BISMiS nominees are selected for an award, the society may provide financial assistance to support attendance at the award ceremony organized by the awarding society.
